UI+UX+SEO

Current work: Bruinwalk

bruinwalk.com

I collaborate with the UCLA student media developmental operations team to create new functionalities for ucla’s course, professor, and apartment rating site. Using figma and ui/ux design principles, I create high fidelity mockups of functionalities and flows which are implemented by developers.

my designs have to be consistent with bruinwalk’s current visual/brand identity while encouraging user interaction with key new features. i attend weekly meetings to align objectives and get designs reviewed. I implement feedback from my peers and supervisors to contribute to our collaborative efforts.

Case Study: Silent Knowledge Learning Program

silentKnowledge.org

I designed, built, maintained, and modified a website for Shane Lentoor,  founder of Silent Knowledge in Lavender Hill, Cape Town, South Africa.

The site serves as a digital business card to share his philosophy and make it easy for people to learn about the Silent Knowledge Learning Program and contact him.

The site had to build credibility, explain complex ideas clearly, and be mobile-friendly, especially for users in Lavender Hill, where access to laptops is limited. Balancing accessibility with depth of information was a core design challenge.

Using SquareSpace, I translated Shane’s ideas into a clean, responsive layout. The goal was a concise yet informative site accessible across devices.

After creating the website, I gathered feedback through informal interviews with Shane, local users, and other website visitors. Based on these inputs, I made improvements to layout, clarity, and usability.

This project took about 1 month to build, and I have been maintaining/modifying it for over a year.
